Hi everyone

Just a quick question.

I bought a new blood glucose meter during the week and didn't think to check with my Doctors about being prescribed the test strips and lancets.

It's the Accu check mobile.

Does anyone have any problems with their Doctor's prescribing these?

My prescription isn't due for another 3 weeks and don't want to push my luck asking before it's due.

I am currently prescribed 2 x 50 aviva test strips a month.

Regards

Andy

pip code 351-3322 I believe whether you have a problem or not is up to your GP, the price is roughly the same for 100 tests (about ?30). You should have a card with your meter (don't miss a trick do they).

I got the mobile from the dsn last year, and haven't had any problems about putting the mobile cassettes on my repeat prescription. As it was new, the Boots pharmacy had a little trouble getting the cassettes, but they persevered, and all went smoothly. I find the accu chek mobile very good, no strips to dispose of. Pleased with it!
