Hi All
I have received a letter from my surgery saying that my glucose meter is being upgraded to a GlucoMen Areo2K. The letter is putting a positive spin on the change, but seems to indicate that I don't have a choice.
I am currently using an Accu-Check Compact Plus, which is really convenient, because the finger pricker is attached to the meter, and the strip drum is inside, so I only carry one thing. It looks like the one I must change to will have a separate finger pricker and loose strips in a tub, so more faff.
Anyone here been in this situation? Do you think it is worth arguing the case to remain with my current meter? Anyone has experience with the GlucoMen device?
