All carbohydrates are broken down to glucose in the body and will raise your sugar(glucose) levels.

Apart from High Carbs & Glucose , what else can raise your sugar level ?
Stress, illness, change in weather, not a good enough sleep the list is pretty much endless unfortunately x

Changes in medication, cortisone injections, ...

Waking up in the morning, with your liver pumping out extra glucose to keep your body ticking over.

Change of seasons.
Just about anything really.
