I've just been reading the latest Which? report on food supplements and it says that glucosamine can affect diabetes medication but doesn't say how. I have not heard this before and it has not been mentioned by my doctor. I currently take a glucosamine/chondroitin combined tablet. Should I stop?

No need to stop because of your diabetes. I take it but have not spotted an impact on my BG levels.
If you test you glucose levels you could check by having a break from it and see if it changes your levels.
I did that, also to see if it made any difference to my aches. Still taking it.

Thanks. I haven't noticed any effect on my BG levels and have had periods when I have stopped taking it. I am T2 but on insulin and a variety of tablets so I was really just curious to know which research had shown a potential problem and the details of what it might be. Which? wouldn't have made that comment without some evidence behind it. I shall continue to take it as, although the scientific evidence is very inconclusive, I do believe it helps.
