If oral medications are not working to enable you to reduce your blood glucose then has it been considered that you may be Type 1 not Type 2. There are tests which you can have to check.
However it may be worth revisiting your diet as ideas have changed over the time since your diagnosis as to how important diet is. With the medication very low carb is not recommended but somewhere around 130g per day would be OK for most people especially if they keep a check with home testing with a blood glucose monitor which you should be prescribed if taking gliclazide.
See if this link gives you some ideas for filling but low carb meals. https://lowcarbfreshwell.com

Sorry to hear you are having a difficult time finding a balance between your meds and your menu @pmc79

When you say the Ozempic pen isn’t working, do you mean the Ozempic has lost effectiveness? Or that the pen isn’t delivering the medication properly?

Ozempic can help reduce appetite, and help you feel full, so perhaps the extra hunger you are feeling is as a result of the lack of Ozempic?

Did you gain weight on Gliclazide when you took it initially? Or has that only happened more recently?

It sounds like you may need to book an appointment to discuss things with your GP if you current meds aren’t helping?
