Relationship to Diabetes
Type 1
Hello.

I was watching Glee the other day and I noticed one of their 'original songs' mentioned Diabetes. I don't know if anyone has mentioned it, but I thought it was quite amusing:

Tell me I should eat my Wheaties
You know what? "hell to the no!"
Tell me I'd come down with diabetes
"hell to the no!"

This episode has only aired in the US, so I better say that this is a spoiler 😉

I get the impression that diabetes is more generally mentioned in the US than here, popping up in all sorts of things. I would guess that the fact that one of the Jonas Brothers has Type 1 is partly the cause of it being mentioned more amongst the younger generation, also maybe Cystal Bowersox/American Idol.
