I would be careful about using them in the microwave.

I once tried to heat a pudding in a glass dish for my husband and the dish cracked in the micro. 😱

I use plastic containers that are microwave safe. Frozen glass being microwaved is a definite no-no, I would say!
 
My sister had loads of plastic containers with lids (used to hold stuff from the local chinese takeaway).

They work very nicely for me, but I tend to steam the contents rather than microwave them (but they can be microwaved too).
