Afternoon all! My name is Steve and I've been living with Type 1 for just under 30 years now. I started of on Human Mixtard, but after a few years I switched to a combination of Lantus and NovoRapid which I still get on with reasonably well.
I had my driving license revoked for 12 months after I clipped a curb in 2008, but this was a wake up call for me to manage my condition much more carefully. I've been using the Freestyle Libre since March last year and I've found this to be an incredible help (I used to finger prick up to 15 times a day!) I'm currently working with my DSN to obtain the sensors on prescription.
I run a small business and have 4 children, so life here is full of challenges. However, I get through it all with the support of my family and my brilliant wife who I owe so much to!
