Years ago I tried to fnd out how to get the VAT back on the Omron BP monitor I bought from amazon. I gave up in the end, suspecting it was something they didn't want to have to deal with. However, today I noticed that they seem to have made it slightly easier byt telling you where to get the form and where to send it. They do say you can request a form from the Customer Service Department, but again, impossible to find out how, so I went to the government site instead and found it:

https://www.gov.uk/government/uploa...ity_Declaration_Disabled_-_March_2015__2_.pdf

Fill it in and send it to:

Amazon Customer Service,
Waverley Gate,
2-4 Waterloo Place,
Edinburgh,
EH1 3EG,
United Kingdom

Obviously, it only applies to stuff that qualifies that you buy directly from amazon - third-party suppliers on amazon marketplace usually have a box you can tick.

I just bought some new whizzy scales that do visceral body fat, BMI etc. on an amazon lightning deal, so am hoping I can get the VAT back as well making it a real bargain buy! 🙂

Hurrah! Just noticed on my credit card that I have been refunded the VAT on those scales 🙂 Not quite sure how they've worked out the amount, as it doesn't seem to match what I expected, but not far off.
