Hi Guys,
Becoming more mindful of what I eat, and what can cause triggers. I am now reading my Blood pressure regularly. Talk about big steps! I used to get anxious putting the cuff on. Even bought a wrist one in the summer. Gave myself excuses after excuses for not reading it, always tomorrow etc... I take Amlodipine (quite some time), and now Bendroflumethiazide fairly recently. Now to me just as routine as take the Covid 19 tests. Next stop will be the blood sugar (even though my GP advised I don't need to). I just believe it gives a sense of empowerment and taking a robust role in my healthcare. Swapped my chocolate bars for fruit in my lunch instead. Just the little things..small steps. Onwards and Upwards

You are in control of your own diabetes so you do what you need to do to learn and to take more control.

What BG monitor are you thinking of getting? The meters are cheap but it's the test strips which is where they make their money long term as some are dreadfully expensive.
