I'm on day 3 of my new medication - met + Gliclazide 80mg - and the levels are starting to drop. First morning gave a reading of 19.2 😱 I know I have dawn phenomenon but that was ridiculous! This morning it was 13.2, still too high I know, but better.
Feeling a bit dizzy at times, do you think this is just my body trying to adjust to lower levels?
Keeping a food/medication/BG diary - keeps me focused, and walking more each day. I listen to music on my mp3 player as I walk, but I must remember not to sing-a-long, it frightens the locals 🙂

Glad to hear that things are improving Karen, and well done on exercising more and being so focussed on getting control of things - you'll get there! 🙂 I would imagine that the lower levels are contributing to the dizziness if this is something you are now experiencing since starting on the new medication - hopefully this will disappear as you become accustomed to those better levels 🙂

Glad things are improving Karen, keep up the good work 🙂

Sounds like they are symptoms of your body getting used to the lower BS levels. I had false hypos when I started on gliclazide a few months back.

When you get these feelings just test your BS, to make sure its not a true hypo.
