Every reading today in single digits!

It's quite amazing the physcoligical effect of getting good readings, I feel so much better mentally now that I'm getting readings in the 7's, 8's and 9's. Getting used to insulin is a challenge, it's not second nature yet and I have to think about it a lot, but it's not been 6 weeks yet so I think I'm doing good (PS just posting my thoughts on the forum helps a great deal too).

(PS it's bedtime in Singapore!)🙂

Excellent news Dan, really pleased that you are seeing some good progress 🙂 Getting better numbers will also be of physical as well as mental benefit - keep up the good work! 🙂

I know how you feel. Insulin is making a huge difference to my life as well, it's been 3 months or so and I'm much more stable now and "in the zone" much of the time. Congrats.

Hi Alyson, how did you find out you were LADA? I've had some tests but no results yet. Like you, I've been on insulin a couple of months and am starting to stabilise at last but am putting on weight which I could do without.

Hi Dan and Alison its great to hear that you are both feeling much better

I have a couple of other immunological conditions that made T2 less likely and no family history, plus I got sick much faster than a T2 usually would, it was a matter of weeks. I'd been tested for diabetes annually for years and never showed any indications of it, it was quite a shock to everyone when I collapsed and tests showed my BGs were 28.4. I did a lot of research and finally got tested, the results showed that I am LADA. I'm told it can take years to get the diagnosis changed and even that doesn't gaurantee appropriate treatment will be forthcoming, that seems to depend on where you live.
