I finally have got some help with diet, I went back to the nurse yesterday and she has taken some blood to check my levels to see what has been happening over the last 2 months as I am hoping to stay off medication and just do with diet, I have cut so much out of my diet but my weight is very slow in coming off.
I got an appointment for 2 weeks time to go to a group called getting started you have a 2 hours session with a group which I thought was good as some people may ask things I haven't thought of. They take you through all different things to help you work out what to eat and what not to and were to cut down etc, do other things as well and hopefully this will help me get through some of the confussion.
The nurse yesterday was lovely I think I will try get her in future and not the other one who was very abrupt and made me feel like I couldn't ask her anything.
I have my eye scan tomorrow so hopefully now things are moving for me.

Great news Helen 🙂 It will be good to meet others in the same situation, I hope the meeting goes well. Also hope your eye scan goes well - don't forget your sunglasses, even if it's not sunny it can feel very bright! Good luck with everything! 🙂

good luck and rmember those sun glasses ...even if its dull ...must admit i always ask if they can do it without drops and usually they can so always worth an ask

Thank you Northerner and am64 I am just glad my appointments are finally coming through I still have to wait for the dietician 1 to 1 but hopefully that will come through soon, its hard to do loads of appointments but fortunately my work understands and is very good with me, my original eye appointment was for a work day but they changed it to a Saturday for me.
I am hoping I can get on the right track now as I have ended up with dermatitis on my face with the diabetes and the steroid cream the doc gave me is burning it and making it worse so hopefully the quicker I get stuff under control the better things like that will be.
