I went to the hospital today to see the new Diabetic Doctor and I have to go back on the 18th to get a pump it will be a 6 month trial. D ont know what type just yet the only thing she said was that it was pink it was the only one they had left. So will let you all know how it goes.

I've heard that the pink ones are great! 😉 Brilliant news! I hope that it will help you beat your dawn phenomenon. Surprised to hear the it's only a 'trial' though, if it works for you then prepare to make sure it's permanent! 🙂

Hope the trail works out, great news

Congratulations, I hope you will be very happy together! :D

Excellent news! Best of luck when the time comes 🙂

Brilliant news, I hope you get to keep that one or one of your own.

hope it goes well, keep us up to date.......🙂

Good stuff - pumps are great. I heard of someone who had a trial with a pump and then refused to give the pump back at the end of it. There wasn't much the hospital could do about it (without physically holding the person down and removing it) and so, grudgingly, agreed to fund it.

One way of getting permanent funding in these cash-strapped times, eh?

I believe Shiv went through something similar, so might be able to give a bit of advice should they try and take it back!

Thats good news, do you know which pump you want, or if you get a choice?

6 month trial is pretty standard round here, makes alot of sense to me. When I finally start my pump it'll be a 6 month trial too. If my team feel that the pump has not improved things then I will go back to MDI.
