Over the last two weeks or so I have started to creep up to where I am often out of the green. Even when exercising I seem to take ages to get back down. It has been getting warmer lately and wondered if the insulin goes off. I don't take any precautions when I take a new pen from the fridge just try and keep it coolish in my bag. However there are times when I have noticed the pen is warm to the touch. Is it likely to spoil if it gets too warm and do I need to be more careful.

The insulin is OK being around room temperature for about 4 weeks. It's unusual for it to go off so there must be another reason

Thank for that. Recently been prescribed some indigestion meds maybe them although not supposed to have much affect.

Indigestion - or Acid reflux? Or what?

Sorry for taking so long trying get a grip between mobile and pc. I'm on 30mg of Lansoprazole. Nothing else but may have a virus hanging about which I have had before. Gp has advised trying to get it early (easier said than done) to get some anti viral meds, think it's linked to the herpes virus. Show's up every now and again as sores on my backside. Gone now though.

Lansoprazole reduces the amount of stomach acid produced which can affect your digestion i.e. you may get a delayed hit from the carbs.

Not going too high Kaylz 9-11 but it's the time it's taking to get back down and sometimes not getting back pretty meal. May be correct what khskel proposes that meds making it tough for digestion and the delay is cumulative. Or it could be just one of the many curve balls thrown by the T1 monsters. It's a mystery as Toys would say.

Well whatever it is that's causing it I hope you get to the bottom of it soon 🙂 x
