Today I'm feeling really disappointed with myself, feels like lately I've been letting the little things slide.I haven't actually been on here in a while but since the last time I was on things haven't been that great.

I recently managed to get my A1C down to 59mmol from 80mmol in November 2011. Since November 2011, I've been quite strict on carb counting, testing 5/6 times a day & really keeping a close eye on things . But now since getting my A1C down, I've really let things go in the past few weeks, first missing out this test & sometimes not doing that one so in the past weeks some days I've only been doing 3 a day. Now I'm really trying to get my head back into that 'control' state like before where the aim is now trying to maintain a good A1c rather than reach a good level.

Hadn't really intended this to be as long a post as it turned out but now I'm really going to try & get back on track, starting with trying to get back on here a bit more 🙂

Good to see you back Lauren, and best wishes for your new push to tighten things up a bit.

Hi Lauren, this post struck a chord with me, not becuase I'm in the same situation but I do fear falling ino that trap! I'm currently working hard to get a good A1c result and I'm concerned that once I get there I'll be tempted to slacken off a bit and maybe not test so much and maybe have a snack and not worry about injecting, keeping on top of the D is hard work and it takes a lot of commitment, I'm just hoping that I can keep it going!

It's good to hear that you've seen the need for you to get back on track, hope you're able to get there soon 🙂

Good luck Lauren 🙂 It's good that you have recognised how things have slipped a bit and good to hear your determination to get back to better control. I do understand how you feel - I can be doing great then for some reason, not complacency, it all just feels like such hard work - it's not easy being good all the time! 🙂
