Normally I would be chewing away on Tunes, Locketts etc to ease the pain.

All sweet stuff so what do you do when you get the sniffles or catarrh etc?

I suppose Lemsip will still be OK although I normally throw in a spoonful of sugar to make it less tart.

When I asked about cold remedies, I was told there is so little sugar in them it is negligible. If lem sip is too tart try beechams hot lemons, they are a bit sweeter.

other alternative is ask pharmacist or give NHS direct a call for advice on what is safe.

I hope you feel better soon.

There are sugar free Strepsils that you can get for a sore throat

I hope you feel better soon. I don't usually take anything for colds etc anyway so can't help with that advice x

Try the blackcurrant one. I find it less abrasive for a sore throat and sweet enough without any added sugar.

Thanks for your replies. Some good suggestions there so thanks again
