Relationship to Diabetes
Type 2
Myself, my siblings, both my parents and my maternal grandmother all have/had type 2 does this mean I am probably unlikely to get to remission, even following low carb?

No. Many of my relatives have type 2 and I had no trouble at all achieving and remaining in remission.

I think the understanding of diabetes has improve somewhat since you grandparents days and forums like this didn't even exist.
I like to think that with all the help and advice available today it gives people a good chance either to control or reverse diabetes to the state of remission
