Hello lovelies , I went to see my doctor this morning she’s happy with my progress , I have to get an updated HBA1c blood test once I receive my email as her printer has no ink, to see where my sugar levels are sitting .

now I’m only confused because why can’t she just tell me my confirmed type of diabetes , like she showed me and told me the other time I seen her but why doesn’t she just say it ?? I literally have to wait until I see my specialist next month to 100% confirm it . Like I know it’s 100 high chance I have type 2 , but I dislike waiting sorry for the rant I’m just kinda confused and just want to show it who’s boss. I’m just also confused that if the results are totally different ???

sorry guys my brain is all over the place and unfortnately my doctor doesn’t want to mess with my anixety which I completely understand but I dislike not knowing or confirm it .

If they 100 confirmed it I would be so much more relaxed and again just get back up grab it by the horns , slap the hell out of it and tell it off because it isn’t bullying me in anyway shape or form .

Again I’m sorry just confused .

Perhaps she just wants the consultant to officially confirm it? Sometimes doctors don’t say because they’re not sure; sometimes they don’t say because they don’t want to tread on other people’s toes; sometimes it’s just the way things are done.

I wouldn’t worry about it. Just concentrate on getting good blood sugars.

That’s what I’m getting from it inka to be honest .
that is defianetly true . I’ll defiantly concentrate on the blood sugars and hope it goes down 🙂.

Hello Jacinta, how frustrating that all sounds. I hate uncertainty and having to wait for answers, so I do sympathise. I just don't think the 'system' acknowledges the anxiety this sort of thing causes. But stay positive - you sound like you've got entirely the right attitude!

Hi Jacinta, very frustrating indeed. There's no real reason other than wanting to double check but there should be specialist who can help and an ink printer certainly shouldn't be a hindrance!

As you've said, focus on managing your numbers as if they're responding well, you know you're on the right track. Hopefully, they'll confirm things with you soon.

Hello what the ? !
oh I dislike it very much , if I know something then I’m totally fine 🙂. I honestly wish the system would , it’s better to know then not to so you know what your up against and can prepare yourself more if you need to .
I’ll defiantly try to stay positive with my head held high . I honestly try to have a good attitude around it all .

HI Jacinta,

if Aus is anything like the UK the majority of GP's don't understand diabetes in any of its types. I think it would be best to wait for a full confirmation from a specialist who can give you the correct advice and not someone who will muddy the waters and add to your confusion and anxiety. I appreciate the wait is stressful but better to get the right diagnoses first time.

Hope you get some clarity soon Jacinta.

Do you know when your next follow-up appointment is due?

I totally understand piglet , I was kind of hoping she could just tell me so I can prepare myself is all . That is defianetly true with getting the right diagnoses right the first time then not .
