Gastroscopy Update

I have had my gastroscopy and this time I was sedated - however I had a reaction to the cocktail of drugs I was given and have been sick and dizzy ever since. I was given 2 different drugs but the nurse I saw afterwards says they gave me enough to knock out a heavy-weight boxer so she was not surprised at the reaction. I've finally been allowed to come home but can't go to work tomorrow and can't drive either. The good news is that I don't remember anything about the gastroscopy itself 🙂. I was told I've had biopsies taken from my stomach this time so have to wait a few weeks for those results.

Relieved it's over, now just got to wait for the gastric emptying study.

Hi newbs, glad you home and on the way to recovering. Not being able to drive for 24 hours is the norm due to the slowing of your reactions for 24 hours. So enjoy a nice quiet day with 2 children 🙂😱

Head still spinning this morning so my mum's taken my girls to visit her neighbour for a while, keeps them all happy 🙂. I went back to sleep for a bit and am feeling a bit better now.
