I suffer from gastric reflux and although i have omeprazole prescribed to me (10mg), i don't take this tablet every day, i only take it when i feel it gets quite bad but just lately i've developed a wheeziness and hoarsness, is this related to the gastric reflux? not sure whether i need to visit my GP and mention this. Has anyone else suffered the same sort of symptoms?

I also have reflux, and I take my lansoprazole every day. If I ever forget my morning tablets, my stomach reminds me before lunch! Mine was caused by excessive coughing from lifelong asthma that led to a small hernia. Reflux can allow acid to leak far enough up to cause your symptoms, but you really need to get it checked out as it's not the only possible cause. Hope you get to the bottom of it.

It is always worth seeing your doctor with any new symptom. The wheeziness migth just be the result of a cold or the fact it has been quite cold out, but these things are always worth getting checked. I hope it clears up soon.

This can be related to gastric reflux, mention it to your gp. I suffer from gastric reflux and take 20mg Omeprazole every morning to keep the symptoms at bay.
