My doctor recently put me on Gabapentin for serious nerve pain in my neck, and my fasting BG has increased quite a lot, (from an average of around 6.5 to over 9). Anyone else had similar problems, and if so how was it sorted?

I had similar problems, for me it was sorted by taking me off it, so I hope you get a better solution. The pharmacist did say it should effect my BG levels but it did.

Hi @Chappy I take Gabapentin 2700 mg a day plus Duloxetine for nerve and neuropathy pain. Being a T1 on insulin I haven`t noticed them interfering with BGLs but do mention it to your GP.

Thanks for the feed-back. I've checked online and there is a chance of it effecting the BG so I'll see the doc about maybe increasing the Gliclazide.
Cheers.
