Hello. Is anyone out there taking the above drug? I've been prescribed it but think it's causing my extreme thirstiness and may be raising my blood glucose. Has anyone else experienced this please?

Hi - I started taking it last year, and soon afterwards I got extremely thirsty, January I was diagnosed with Diabetes, April my GP took me off of it as she said it may have that the caused my bg to go from a pre-diabetic reading which I had been the previous year into a very high reading of 22. But despite stopping taking it my BG levels are still very slow in coming down.

Also it made me feel very lethargic all the time, which could of course have been the high BG, but I did not have such feelings of lethargy before taking it.

I've taken Gabapentin in the past, and though initially slightly sedative, it didn't cause any problems with blood sugars, or thirst. It did affect the performance of the naughty bits, but that won't be a problem for you.🙄 I don't need it now, thank goodness.🙂

Many thanks for your replies. Am seeing the doctor soon so will see what she thinks.
