A multi-million pound vision for a world-renowned centre to combat diabetes in the area has been laid out.
Diabetes specialists at George Eliot Hospital, Nuneaton, have embarked on a plan to build world-class facilities for diabetes patients in North Warwickshire where more than 10,000 people are treated for the condition.
They say a new ?2million diabetes centre of excellence on the hospital site, with specialist facilities for education and research, would reduce the high incidence of diabetes in the area and see a fall in hospital admissions for diabetes-related complications.
