THEY might be quick on the checkouts, but supermarket staff faced challenges of more physical kind at a knockout charity event in Humberston.
Employees from 18 Tesco branches across the north east headed to Cherry Garth, off Humberston Avenue, to take part in the company's own version of It's A Knockout.
The stores aim to raise ?50,000 for Diabetes UK by the end of September ? and each had to donate ?3,000 before entering the event on Sunday.
Organiser Jenny Follan is the community champion for Tesco Grimsby and said: "Diabetes UK is our company charity of the year and we hope to raise money and awareness of the condition.
