I have been shopping in the town near me and popped into Holland and Barrett. I had a generous £3.20 voucher to spend. I have bought a product called " FullGreen riced". It is in a pouch and can be microwaved or stir fried. They had one for cauliflower but this one is 40% broccoli. I've not heard of the company. It's 1.7 gm carb per 100 gms and contains 200 gms. I've got fresh winter sprouting broccoli and cauli at the moment but thought it was something useful in reserve. I had sausage and mash plus greens in a cafe so will have something low carb tonight.

sounds nice let us know how you get on etc and enjoy

I think others may have mentioned those products and I think they may be available in the bigger supermarkets too, for people who don't have an H&B near by.

I regularly have FullGreen riced cauliflower and you'll always find it in our larder. It works for me with a Chasseur or Chilli Con Carne, for example. At 4g carbohydrate per pack vs around 60g if I had brown rice it's a no-brainer for me.

Barbara @rebrascora is right - I get it at Morrisons or Sainsburys.

@Martin.A there is a Morrisons in that town too but no Sainsbury's. They had one which was just cauli but I bought the one including broccoli. It is so low carb it will be a good base for a curry or casserole. I'm still new to shopping for low carb products. In summer had a lot of fish and salad. I have a class in the city Monday. I might check Sainsbury's. I had a £3.20 voucher.

Sounds good let us know what its like. Funnnily enough we bought some pasta from Holland and Barrat last week and had it couple of nights ago, tasted (almost) the same as normal pasta, but it was made from some plant, can't remember what off top of my head, Was very low carbs too. But they are bloody expensive....!

The best FullGreen is the Sweet Potato which I get on Amazon.

@Andricles I have looked on Amazon but as far as sweet potato I think id just buy the occasional sweet potato if I fancied one rather than a pouch. I've been on the companies site and they are a British company that supply most of the supermarkets.

@pjgtech I have previously bought edamame noodles and red lentil pasta from Holland and Barrett. I've only been there twice but it's convenient for me and they seem to have offers.

I was looking for the Edamame pasta, but they did not have any in stock, but they did have some other low carb pasta, I think it was called slim pasta, but not 100% sure tbh, But it was ok.

I buy their cauliflower rice from Amazon - I have it on a subcription and get a delivery every month.

I just use my Bosch chopper and a cauliflower or broccoli to make rice probably in less time than opening a sachet and certainly a lot cheaper.
