Fruity bread pudding - well sorta

Notes and options * below
1 1/2 - 2 slices of your choice of bread*, preferably dried.
300mls milk beat 1 egg into the milk, possibly add a flavouring
Cooking Apple*
A 300mg mix of any of breadcrumbs, almond flour , mixed milled nuts and flax seed ; milled pumpkin mix etc <>
Sugar substitute if required

Choose an ovenproof dish , wipe round with your butter/ marg choice
Break up the dried bread to fit over the bottom of the dish, like a jig saw.
Pour the well beaten egg milk mix over the bread, preferably almost covering it
Allow the milk mix to sink in
Slice the apple quickly
Cover the apple with a thick layer of the ready made mix <>
Cook in an oven (with a main meal if poss) 180C for 20-30 mins or microwave for 12mins
Eat hot
*Notes & options Odd bits of bread or bread crumbs are saved in a tin or fridge for recipes. Your options can be swapped. I didnt use sugar but next time I'lladd 1 tspn of Splenda/ spice mix sprinkled onto the apple. And /or the covering mix. I only used 1/2 bramley apple, next time Id use it all. U Could use frozen fruits , pear etc.
This makes 3-4 servings
