From low carb weight loss to stability

I have been low carb since T2 diagnosis in the summer. I have lost quite a bit of weight and my HBA1C is now 30. I want to stop losing weight but don’t want my BG numbers to go up again. Have not counted carbs but the most carby things I’ve been eating are swede, celeriac and the low carb bread from Waitrose.

I don’t want to put weight back on but unless I change something I will continue to lose it, I’ve lost enough.

What strategies have people used to stabilise their weight in this situation?

Eat more, exercise less? but keep testing (do you have a finger prick kit) to see which foods spike BG (or not).

It’s what to eat. Have people eaten the same things just more of them or upped their carbs?

Tbh I did buy a FP test machine but to date I haven’t used it.

As much exercise as you can manage helps with weight maintenance!

Stick with the same carbs but increase protein and healthy fats, have some low carb snacks like nuts, avocado, cheese. high protein yoghurt or mousses (Aldi do some ice ones), eggs. full fat yoghurt, cream on strawberries.
Well done on getting your Hba1C down as low as many would dream of, so you could up your carbs a bit and if you test you could see what you can tolerate.
