A recruiter has just made the biggest selection of his life after picking his close friend to join him in a perilous 3,000-mile charity row across the Atlantic.
Harry Martin-Dreyer from Battersea has chosen friend Alex Bland, from Shropshire, to help him take on the journey from the Canary Islands to Barbados.
They will do it all entirely unaided and under the searing heat of the sun and through the night rowing alternately on two hour shifts, 24 hours a day, seven days a week for up to three months.
Through doing this they hope to raise ?100,000 for JDRF, the type 1 diabetes charity, and Cure Leukaemia, a Midlands based blood cancer charity.
