Loving the diabetes last night.
Got home after work BS was 10, and had been highish all afternoon. Expected it to drop a but but nothing to warrant any carbs, and had planned to eat a salad before a gym session.
2 Hours later, 3.4!!
Ate 2 Colin Caterpillers, 3 mini Mr Kipling Battenburg cakes and a large Galaxy Almond Magnum ice cream (sadly that was all that was in the house!!!)
Net result.....BS 5.8 at 6am when I got up.
Now how often can you get away with that!!!

Goodness me! I would have been up in the upper 20s with that carbfest! 😱 Nice combination though, love the idea that those were the only sugary items in the house! :D

Yep. I estimate around 100 Carbs there as each Battenburg was 26 and I think the Galaxy was at least 30+.
Not sure how I ended up managing this, but what a result, and didn't do anything different to a normal day.
I remain convinced that if a cure is ever found, I would swell like a balloon as I cherished every mouthful.

Have you checked your sites recently I once of twice had very rapid drops that were caused by fatty lumps which delayed the release of the insulin then flooded out. It may be something to think about if it happens again.

Meanwhile I hope you enjoyed your carb feast.

Good point, although just had a quick check and no obvious lumps, not like the old days with my parents drawing round 10p's on my arms and legs to prevent the overuse of one site.
Diabetes feels a bit like golf, which I have had to take up. If you knew how you did it, you may wish to do it again, and get the same result. Sods law says that it won't, but hey it was good while I had the chance, and I feel like I maximised the opportunity!!!!

Ha ha! A classic 🙂

Amazing those times when the treats just don't seem to count. Other times a single fruit pastille too much can cause chaos!
