I love these and have acquired 3KG. They obviously have sugar in them. Should I eat some daily until they are gone or cover them in gravy and give them to the cat?

As you say, figs are high in sugar so they may be a problem. But we are all different and it depends how many you eat at a time.
If I was you and you have a blood test meter, I would check out what happens to your blood sugars. Test, eat one, test 2 hours later.

If the rise is more than 2-3 mmol/l they may not be for you. If only there was so way you could share them with me 🙂

I'm afraid I ate all of my 3 figs from my fig tree all in one go despite them being about 3g carb each.
As with many things moderation is the name of the game.

I planted a small fig tree last Autumn hoping thete would get at least few figs this year. Nothing. All the leaves have dropped off. Oh well, time to put on the camouflage and raid the next doors orchard...

Wish they would survive in post....
