Hello, I live in Scotland and once again there are no sensors due to a shipping problem. Is anyone else having this problem. Having to fight to get test stripes as they are no longer on my prescription because I am using the sensor.

Hi Beverley, and welcome to the forum.

Sorry to hear that you are having problems getting hold of Libre sensors. I am not aware of any issues but I have not tried in the past month. However I am about to order some, so watch this space.

With regard to test strips, we are still advised to check BG when going hypo and where we don’t feel the same as the Libre is telling us. So keep up the fight for those test strips and make sure that you have some to hand.

Do you use your Libre readings to calculate your insulin doses for corrections? I can’t at present as my handset talks to my pump, but I am aware that some people do this.

Welcome to the forum @beverleyh

I agree with Sue, you still need a supply of fingerstick strips while using the Libre - the Libre documentation (and DVLA guidelines) list several times when cross-checking is advised.

Hope your pharmacy gets a delivery soon. I understand that the sensors ordered direct from Abbott come through a different route and are not affected by the current delays to pharmacy distributors
