Hi, yesterday I was told by my diabetic consultant at hospital I would be receiving a freestyle libre trial for 6 months and I would receive a letter in the post. just wondering how low this process will take until I actually receive/get prescribed my libre and can actually use. Thanks

I think it varies tremendously area to area.

Yep varies widely

Up here in Scotland my DSN made me aware this area was prescribing it in January last year, I had to complete the Libre Academy and book myself on to a education session which I booked for 15th April last year but could've had it sooner, received starter kit there and then and dietician running it wrote to GP and next lot of sensors were ready to pick up from chemist 3 days later, I believe they are still running the sessions just online at the moment but given the current situation your wait may be longer than some
xx
