I have this on a 2 week free trial.
my readings are above 7 each morning before breakfast, but are normal the whole day.
example: this morning before breakfast 8.3. After breakfast 4.9
Any ideas why?

Looks like you may be one of the people who get what is referred to as Dawn Phenomenon or Foot on the Floor Syndrome where the liver tries to be super helpful and releases glucose to give you energy to start the day. A bit of a hangover from our ancestors where they had to go and hunt for breakfast rather that walk to the fridge

It's natural, not really thoroughly understood, but the problem with is that some T2s can't deal with the rise due to insulin resistance (This is higher naturally in the morning due to hormones), liver not getting told to stop releasing sugar, or not enough insulin produced by the pancreas to deal with the glucose.
