Thanks yes I get the Librre 2 and have model iPhone with Bluetooth. Thanks for the info yes on insulin and meds at the moment my sugar levels are high.Because of this I being put on a higher strength insulin and I getting really fed up with finger picking for sugar levels. If you have an iPhone with NFC and Bluetooth, you do not need the reader - the sensor will be enough.
I have always been an Android girl but understand some older iPhone models do not have NFC.
I have been using Libre 1 for the last 2 years and found it great for my diabetes management. But there are limitations. If you expect 100% accuracy and parity with finger prick readings all the time, you will be disappointed - it measures BG in a different way.
I notice you have Type 2 but forget what treatment you use. If you do not use insulin you may not need the bluetooth part as it is only used for alerting when blood sugars are low (or high). The difference between Libre 1 and Libre 2 is this alerting.
Supported phones are covered in this document:I have iPhone se I looked it up does support nfc so covered thanks
Tae care relying totally on Libre for insulin dosing, especially if your levels are high.Tha

Sorry what’s NFC mean please.
They offer both kinds (just 2 sensors and 2 sensors and a reader). £96.58 for 2 sensors or £133.29 for 2 sensors and a reader. (Both prices are excluding VAT.)So is this starter pack just 2 sensors or does it also include a reader
I guess you didn't check the box claiming VAT exemption, then?I just got the starter pack with just two sensors.
That's the bit I wasn't getting! I thought maybe the £115.90 was a cheap price on ebay for the sensor and reader kit when of course it is the 2 sensors plus VAT.I guess you didn't check the box claiming VAT exemption, then?
It's really simple (or was, last time I did it)! Well worth doing for ~£20.I couldn’t be bothered with filling the form lol.
It is just tick boxes. on the Abbott website before you go to check out. It's really simple (or was, last time I did it)! Well worth doing for ~£20.
It's something like name and address, and affirm that you are buying it for medical purposes for yourself (or on behalf of someone else). As far as I remember it's one of the more minimal online forms, anyway (as you'd expect given their expected customers will almost all qualify). (Unless they've changed it since I last used it, of course.)I do next month claim vat back but I think it more then tick box
Ok thanks for the info.I have just checked the process. I had to tick one box and type my date of birth. That was the entire process. My name and address were already pre filled in as it takes from the delivery details.
