Is there anything I can do about my Freestyle Libre 2 constantly losing signal from my iPhone 7? It's only been happening since the debacle of the upgrade in July. The phone is generally glued to me so that isn't the issue. HELP! Frustrated from Kent.

Hello @ElaineS ,

Welcome to the forum. Sorry to hear that you are having issues with your phone. Is your phone software up to date? That could be a starting point. Also, it may help to delete and reinstall the app as well.

Thanks for your suggestions. My phone is up to date and the app was deleted and reinstalled when Abbott did their update in July. It has all gone "wrong" since that upgrade they did! I can't get a response from them either.

Heyho....I'll keep trying to contact them. If I hear anything I'll report back as I don't think I'm the only one having this issue.

I had this problem a few weeks ago. After following advice to uninstall/reinstall, and turn Bluetooth off and on (many times), I called Abbott, who agreed that the sensor was at fault and sent a replacement. The same thing happened last week (not with the replacement sensor) and Abbott have again replaced, but this time asked for the faulty one back. There may be a rogue batch?

My totally "tech dinosaur" guess would be that your phone's blue tooth may just not be strong enough to pick up the Libre signal for the CGM.... but what do I know!. I really do not believe it is a sensor fault and particularly if the sensor has been replaced and still experiencing problems. Presumably you can still scan to get readings? Are you still getting high and low alarms?

Apple stopped updating the iPhone 7 in 2022, I would look at upgrading the phone or asking for a reader.

Yes I was thinking the iPhone 7 was getting a little long in the tooth now. Mine stopped receiving OS updates and various apps could not update to their latest versions or behaved erratically until I updated my phone to a newer one.
