Freestyle Libre 2+ problems

Is anyone else having problems with their Freestyle Libre 2+? I've just had two from my current batch of six fail, one after six hours and the other on the first read after the warm-up hour. Okay, Abbott replaced the first and I'm sure will replace the second too but it's still a pain in the arm.....

I also find the sensors lose contact with my phone more often than the original Libre 2s and I have a feeling they don't all quite last the full fifteen days. I hope this is just early production jitters which will settle soon but it's made me look seriously at Dexcom One+.

I had one that didn’t start up after the warm up, recently, that’s my first Libre 2+ failure, and I didn’t have any Libre 2s that did that. Could just be that it was my turn for a duff, but I normally use a reader, and the failure was the first one I’d decided to start on my phone, so I'd get the continuous reading. (I’ve been too chicken to start another on my phone since, and have gone back to the reader, which suits me anyway)

Using the reader I haven't had problems, but I don't use my phone as I find the reader smaller, simpler to use, more reliable, battery lasts longer and obviously not affected by OS updates. The only time I had problems with Libre 2 Plus was when my arm strap died and I didn't replace it and in that hot weather a couple of months ago when I was doing physical work with my arms, I had a couple came loose. Got a new arm strap now and no problems since.

I’ve had two successive ones that have fallen out with my reader, but still worked with the phone.

When you say fallen out, do you mean they will no longer scan? Obviously there isn't a constant connection with the reader to drop out as such and I assume you don't mean that it came loose and fell off but that the reader was no longer able to pick up a reading from it when scanned?

The reader was saying that the sensor had failed and I should start a new one. The first time I fell for it and started a new sensor, then I accidentally scanned the “failed” one with my phone, forgetting that the now active one was on the other arm, and was surprised to see it working.
When the reader then told me that a second one had failed, I tried scanning it with the phone and it still worked.

I wouldn’t be using a sensor that had given a failed message to drive or take insulin based on. I’d be reporting it to abbot and replacing or at least fingerpricking before driving and taking insulin.
