I am given to understand it is possible to obtain this on NHS if you suffer hypo's. I live alone and am disabled and have had several lately especially in the night. My "Diabetic nurse" will not put forward my request for it Any answers ?
I have halved my doseage due to losing 32lbs but am still having hypoes. It depends where you live whether it’s available. It’s not available in my area.
What’s causing the hypos, have you adjusted your medication to reduce them?
Many thanksThese are the NICE guidelines. Scroll down to 1.6.17. If you meet the guidelines print them out and see your DN with them in your hand.
Well done on the great weight loss but do continue to reduce the insulin doses until you stop having hypos.I have halved my doseage due to losing 32lbs but am still having hypoes.
Many thanks. I saw my GP today and due to my CKD he thinks I should have it.Well done on the great weight loss but do continue to reduce the insulin doses until you stop having hypos.
Good luck convincing your doctor to prescribe Libre. It is unfortunately a bit of a postcode lottery, even if you meet the NICE guidelines but hope you are one of the lucky ones to have success.
