So if you use your freestyle libre sensor before meals can you manually enter the readings into the mysugr app if you want to use the mysugr app for bolus advice instead of using the freestyle libre meter

Yes, you can! I don't though, for me Libre readings aren't close enough to fingerpricks to base bolus calculations on. But everyone is different and you will find plenty on here for whom it works just fine.

I used this method for two or three years quite happily. If I felt that a scan wasn't accurate I might check against a finger prick but it was quite rare overall. I reckon we over think the discrepancy, as all the other variables with our condition makes it a bit hit and miss anyway. Just crack on and live with it. Searching for perfection is beyond me.
