Hi Everyone,

I've just performed a LO & HI control solution test on my FS Libre reader using the Optium test strips. The manual mentions checking the foil packaging for the normal ranges, although there are no ranges printed anywhere on the foil. Only the result appeared as well on screen without any reference to whether it was acceptable or not.

Does anyone have a similar experience with this?

Thank you.

I've had a quick google and apparently its on the information leaflet in the box of strips what the range should be

Apparently it is as follows
Low - 1.8 - 3.5
Mid - 3.9 - 7.0
High - 12.5 - 20.8

Please do have a read through the leaflet to double check this though

I don't get Optium BG strips or I would have looked myself
xx

Thank you @Kaylz for checking this. I did a quick search earlier but couldn't find any ranges. I admittedly throw away the info leaflets after opening the box; just a habit I've carried over by mistake from my previous test strips by a different manufacturer. I did think the ranges would be in the main instruction booklet, but only a chapter on the steps of control solution testing. The last QC bottles by Contour/Ascenia had the ranges printed on the bottles themselves as well.

Thankfully based on these ranges, both the low and high results were within the recommended. Good news on that front at least. 🙂
