Brilliant news! A real turn around for Scotland - let's hope England is watching too! 🙂

It is looking like very good news :D I really hope it helps all of the UK. Still not fantastic on adult pumps, but it's great for the really bad boards like Glasgow. Instead of 6 pumps per year they have to start almost 300 before March 2015! :D

Wow, that's amazing! 🙂 Whilst I can see that children have additional problems, many adults would benefit just as much from pumps.

As a T1 for over 45 years does that mean i have to be under 18 !!!!!!!!! I have a pump but would go WILD if that was brought in !! 😱😱😱

Have copied this report and will take it the next time I have to see the consultants at Aberdeen!!
According to the contract they forced me to sign, they will refuse to fund my consumables if I fail to get my HB1AC to 8.5% - almost impossible for me at the moment as the pump rep, DSN and I know that my rates aren't correct and we're slowly working to get them right.
The page about savings is particularly relevant as they didn't pay for my pump!!! Manchester did!! So they will have higher costs for paying for a T1 to go into hospital on a regular basis - I refuse to go back to 2 injections a day!!!! Plus the legal fees for defending their stance in the European Court of Human Rights!!!
They still haven't confirmed if they're going to pay for my consumables and they run out at the end of March!! Looks like yet another trip to the DSN to find out if they're going to pay up!! :(
Can u tell I'm not happy with the support in Scotland??? 🙄

Yes - I can! - how long have you had your pump? - they know very well or they jolly well should do!!! it can take longer than just a couple of months.
.

Trophywench - I've had my pump almost a year but was only on insulin for eight months before that - two injections a day of about 8 units each. So we hadn't even sorted my insulin levels before going on the pump - I miss my old consultant who would have been happy that my HB1Ac had gone from 11.4 to 10.1 - this one didn't even give a toss!!
