Four more Covid-19 symptoms could be added to the official NHS list, Professor Tim Spector has warned.

Currently, there are only three symptoms on the NHS website, but only one of those symptoms is actually considered to be in the five most common that patients with the virus get.

Those three current symptoms listed are persistent, newly developed cough, a sudden lack of taste or smell, and a high fever or a temperature.

But now experts are urging official health bodies and authorities to expand the list, reports BirminghamLive.

According to studies, the five most commonly reported symptoms are actually a headache, runny nose, and sore throat.

Sneezing and a persistent cough are also listed.

Headache, runny nose and sore throat are the symptoms of a bad cold, or normal flu. Soon, all adults will be double vaccinated. Single vaccinations keep folk out of hospital. Double vaccinations work even better. Let the kids get these bad colds, we always have done.

One benefit of the Covid vaccination will be cross immunity against the coronaviruses that cause colds - about 20% of the viruses that cause colds.

In other words, we will be better than normal if we have our flu jabs as well.

As soon as most adults are doubly vaccinated, we’re home free on our island. Just keep citizens who come from less vaccine protected countries out.

I was always very covid risk adverse although the effects of lockdowns have been terrible. I wish that we had had rigid quarantining at ports /air ports from Feb 2020 and enabled other things to carry on more normally.
I agree we desperately need acknowledge that this thing is now more akin to flu (ok I know this can be nasty but a standard type flu for which the current vaccines work) and relax a bit more about it
