Hi!

I'm new to this forum specifically, but have used other forums in the past.

I've been type 1 for since I was 7, diagnosed Easter 2005 (luckily after I had demolished all my easter eggs) and have recently moved to a closed loop ominpod/dexcom g6 combo and am feeling like I have my life back again after 20 years of daily injections.

I'm currently studying for my masters of research in psychology, specifically diabetes psychology and hoping to become a diabetic psychologist in the future!

I also love Disney, motorsport, reading and spending time with my puggle, Dylan (who was supposed to be an emotional support pet, but I actually think he has more anxiety issues than i do) ((picture of Dylan as a Duke for reference))

Hi @AshleighRose and welcome to the forum.

Love the pic of your dog, I have two Cockapoo's, both as mad as they come, but great fun at the same time.

Hi @AshleighRose and welcome to the forum - great to hear that looping is going well for you 🙂

Welcome to the forum @AshleighRose

Good to hear you’ve positively connected with the new tech.

Great to hear you are researching diabetes psychology - it’s such a vital field and we have so many newcomers to the forum who find it hard to access appropriate support on the NHS
