A former policeman has made arresting progress getting healthy to keep his diabetes in check.
Richard Hope, 58, from Bramhall, was diagnosed in August last year after feeling unwell for some time. He had put off going to the doctors until finding out he was to become a grandfather.
When he did attend he weighed 24 stone and was told he had high blood pressure as well as a diabetic rating of 128.

I presume they mean HbA1c of 128 mmol/mol, when they say 'diabetic rating'. This would be 13.9% and he has brought it down to 5.4% - well done that man! 🙂
