Hi all
Have spent the night in A&E on a drip
Forgotten what sickness felt like and now the memories have come upon me so quickly....yuk.
I had a sick day 1st one in years, couldn't eat or drink so was very dehydrated, thumping headache and heartburn, altho my b/g levels were below 10 which was good.
I ended up in A&E having a saline drip and anti-sickness inserted.
I was released eary this morning, since waking up i still feel rough and can't tollerate food, i am taking tiny sips of fluid regular but still feel crook after each sip. Can anyone tell me how long this is likely to last as i am cautious and don't want to be sick again lol.
I now know what the poor kids feel like in times like this and i promise to be more sympathetic to others that are sick in future.
To all who are sick right now, i hope you feel better very soon i sympathise with you all.

Hi Sweet sorry to hear about your stay in A&E could not of been nice, I cant answer how long it will last we are all diffirent in that way,I just hope yours clears quickly and without any more trips to the hospital x

Get well soon

Very sorry to hear this :( You sound like I felt just before I was diagnosed, although it sounds like you just have the virus I had rather than the scuppered pancreas as your levels are not excessively high. So, although I have definitely felt how you feel, mine became complicated by ketoacidosis - it may be that I fought off the virus in the first 3 days, but then was left with a bit of a legact in the form of diabetes...

Hope you are feeling much, much better very soon 🙂 You are right, it really does make you appreciate how others feel! 😱

I'm sorry to hear about your sickness, was it a bug that you had? If your levels were below 10, then it might not be related to Diabetes, but everyone's body reacts to illnesses/medical problems differently.
I really hope you are starting to feel better today and you enjoy your weekend. Take care Sheena
