Shouldn't be any for straightforward Diabetes. You can go on something like Money Supermarket and plug in pre-existing conditions, then compare quotes on that basis. Or there is a link from the Diabetes UK website, which is with AllClear insurance, a bit more expensive, but I think in the end you usually get what you pay for.

Thanks, Robin.

The key fact is to declare that you have type 2 diabetes, plus any other conditions, when getting travel insurance. Often, there's no extra cost, but it's worth getting a few quotes and comparing what is covered.

I have travel insurance through my bank for Europe only and after I was diagnosed I told them and they just made a note on my file. She said i would be covered and sent me a letter to confirm.
I had to get travel insurance from a different company when I went to America shortly after diagnosis and there was no extra cost. Just make sure you declare it as you will not be covered if you dont.
