Type 2 on insulin with foot neuropathy with no feeling to toes and am under the clinic for toenail clipping every 6-8 weeks. Does anyone know if this is still running and if not any specific advice for me on doing it myself very carefully.

Hung on line for over 30 minutes waiting to be put through to my local centre but not answered on Friday and will try again on Monday. I can only book an appt up to 3 weeks in advance as that is all the staff have on their computers. My 8 weeks are up end of next week.
Have not been able to contact them before due to being in lockdown in Canaries and only getting back to UK Thursday evening.

Thanks in advance for any advice.

There seems to be no blanket yes or no, as things seem to vary by localities. Have they got a website that might have information on it.

No info on the website no matter how I try to access NHS. Dr surgery has cancelled all blood tests and annual diabetes check and just.says they will resume when situation allows.
Ordered new prescription online a week early to hopefully give time for all meds to be available and surgery have confirmed they had received it and awaiting signature and that pharmacy is operating normally so that is something. - plus no rain forecast next week here so if have to wait outside at least will be dry!

I know my local Retinopathy Service Website say to see if you are eligible click on a link, it takes you to the NHS website that does not give any thing specific. My appointment is 7th April , and it is in room in a GP, separate from the surgery but I am expecting to be cancelled.

Sorry to hear about this @pippaandben

This sort of routine stuff is really going to start piling up isn’t it :(

My local trust which Mid Essex, this also includes Southend, and Basildon, have made an announcement on services this afternoon, I suggest you check yours.
Basically they are cancelling no urgent clinics , trying to conduct as many of those they need to via telephone or video. Anyone with a suspected cancer or definite cancer diagnoses, will be seen.

Managed to make contact at last to be told that all routine appts have been cancelled and will return only when the current emergency is over at which time I can ring them again. They are available for emergency appts.
I asked if they could send me any specific advice and they didn't know if there was anything but would ask the clinicians to email me . Does anyone have any tips on the easiest way to cope as I am at 7 1/2 weeks since last trim now and can't last another 12 weeks! !!
