what will they do at my feet apointment? should i take nail varnish off ? orrrr should i take a colour and ask them to put it on for me lol
Thanks, will take polish off, will wear trainers as i wear them all day every day! unless its my day off like today! They might want to see the condition of your nails so go without nail colour.
They should do things like test the pulse in your feet and test to see what sensation you have in your feet, and they will ask about any pre existing medical condtions and any medication you are on. My shoes were also checked to make sure i was wearing the right kind for my height and weight.
I hope it all goes well for you.

Hi Julie,
I wrote about what happened at my last appointment here:

The issue of nail varnish didn't crop up with me, so can't advise on that!😉
Thats great, didn't have a clue what to expect.. lots of men come to my classes with nail varnish on their toes.. biggest shock was my GP came wearing it, then i had to see him and knew that under the suit and nice shoes there were pink toe nails.. couldn't take him seriously!

I've never had my feet checked in all the years Ive been Diabetic !! Maybe I should do some chasing up , everyone else seems to have had theirs done 🙄 I'd like my manicure done again while they are at it though lol !! hehe
Well nice lady sid that i had very good feet, did the checks as mentioned by others, gave me a leaflet about what not to do and sent me away, she did give me a card though with the clinic that will call me once a year and said if anything changes i should call them. She also said that the pins and needles is neuropathy and i should tell me GP.. he told me to tell the podiatrist!
