I am think there is only so much you can put on a menu before it gets to big or unreadable

I guess the consultation process will cover things like where the information is placed eg basic menu with prices on one side or one page, calorie information on back or another page. Perhaps magnifying glasses will be needed - I'm not sure whether food outlets should have to provide them, or people who need them to read small print.

What we need is carbohydrates as well as calories. I guess calories is a step in the right direction though.

I don't think I'd always like to see calories on a menu though to be honest, because when I eat out it is often a treat and I just like to pick something that I fancy without worrying about the calories too much to be honest.
