i stupidly made the mistake yesterday of eating crudités (pronounced crud its in my household), we had many dips to go with them including sweet chilli houmous (yes I know the clue was in the name). I had eaten a couple of huge dip fully before i checked the packaging to discover it and many of the other dips had sugar added to them, so after making filled rolls, sausage rolls, cupcakes, jam tarts, creme egg rocky road and a cake, my so called diabetic friendly bit of the buffet turned out not to be as good as I thought, luckily my numbers were still pretty good.

Also interested to hear what other things people have found sugar added to that they didn't expect.

Salt & vinegar flavoured peanuts. Tesco's own brand. I've had the KP one's before & they are pretty low carb, so didn't bother checking the Tesco ones. Well, after munching on a few handfuls, BG went into the 9's! Checked the ingredients & there was added sugar, maize starch & other starchy nasties! Won't make that mistake again.
